ukuthethelelwaAke ucabange umzuzwana isigameko esishaqisayo eCalvary, lapho ukubethelwa kwenziwa njengesigwebo sentambo esibuhlungu kakhulu. Lokhu kwakubhekwa njengendlela yokubulala enonya nelulazayo eyake yaklanywa futhi yayigcinelwe izigqila ezidelelekile kakhulu nezigebengu ezimbi kakhulu. Kungani? Kwenziwa njengesibonelo sokuvimbela ukuhlubuka nokumelana nokubusa kwamaRoma. Izisulu, zinqunu futhi zihlushwa ubuhlungu obungabekezeleleki, ngokuvamile zaziqondisa ukuphelelwa yithemba kwazo ngendlela yeziqalekiso nokuhlambalaza izibukeli ezizungezile. Izicelo zikaJesu zokuthethelelwa ziphawuleka kakhulu ngenxa yezizathu ezintathu.

Okokuqala, naphezu kwakho konke abhekana nakho, uJesu wayesakhuluma ngoYise. Kuwukubonakaliswa kokwethemba okujulile, kothando, okusikhumbuza amazwi kaJobe: “Bheka, noma engibulala, ngiyamlindela; “Impela, ngizomphendula ngezindlela zami” (Jobe 13,15).

Okwesibili, uJesu akazange azicelele intethelelo ngoba wayekhululiwe esonweni futhi waya esiphambanweni njengeWundlu likaNkulunkulu elingenabala ukuze asisindise ezindleleni zethu zesono: “Ngokuba niyazi ukuthi anisindisi ngesiliva elibhubhayo noma ngegolide elibhubhayo. ukuziphatha kwenu okuyize ngokwendlela yawoyihlo, kodwa ngegazi eliyigugu likaKristu njengewundlu elingenacala nelingenabala.”1. Okwesithathu, umthandazo uJesu awusho ngokweVangeli likaLuka wawungewona owasho kanye nje. Umbhalo wokuqala wesiGreki usikisela ukuthi uJesu wawasho la mazwi ngokuphindaphindiwe—ewukubonakaliswa okuqhubekayo kozwelo nokuzimisela kwakhe ukuthethelela, ngisho nangezikhathi ezinzima kakhulu zosizi lwakhe.

Ake sicabange ukuthi uJesu wabiza kaningi kangakanani kuNkulunkulu ngesidingo sakhe esijulile. Wafika endaweni eyaziwa ngokuthi yiNdawo Yogebhezi. Amasosha amaRoma abethela izihlakala zakhe okhunini lwesiphambano. Isiphambano samiswa futhi walenga phakathi kwezulu nomhlaba. Ezungezwe isixuku esiklolodayo nesithukayo, kwadingeka abukele njengoba amasosha ehlukaniselana izingubo zakhe futhi edlalela ingubo yakhe engenamthungo amadayisi.

Ekujuleni kwezinhliziyo zethu siyabazi ubunzima bezono zethu kanye nomhosha osihlukanisa noNkulunkulu. Ngomhlatshelo kaJesu ongenamkhawulo esiphambanweni, indlela yokuthethelela nokubuyisana yavulelwa kithi: “Ngokuba njengokuphakama kwezulu phezu komhlaba, welulela umusa wakhe kwabamesabayo. Njengokuba kude nokusa kusihlwa, uyasusa iziphambeko zethu kithi.” ( IHubo 103,11-enye).
Masikwamukele ngokubonga nangenjabulo lentethelelo emangalisayo esinikezwe yona ngomhlatshelo kaJesu. Wakhokha inani elikhulu, hhayi kuphela ukuze asihlanze ezonweni zethu, kodwa futhi ukuze asingenise ebudlelwaneni obuphilayo nobunothando noBaba wethu waseZulwini. Asisezona abafokazi noma izitha zikaNkulunkulu, kodwa kunalokho singabantwana bakhe abathandekayo abuyisana nabo.

Njengoba sathola intethelelo ngothando lukaJesu olungenakulinganiswa, sibizelwe ukuba sibonise lolu thando nokuthethelela ekusebenzelaneni kwethu nabanye abantu. Yilesi simo sengqondo sikaJesu esisiholayo futhi esisikhuthaza ukuba sidlule ekuphileni ngezandla ezivulekile nezinhliziyo, silungele ukuqonda nokuthethelela.
